COVID-19: Now that I have had the chance to check in with each of my current clients, I wanted to give a quick update on what’s happening with More Organised during this strange and scary time.

Suspending face-to-face services

It won’t surprise you to know that I stopped working face-to-face with my clients a couple of weeks ago, when the enormity of this terrible virus started to become clear. Ironically I’d just had a bumper weekend of bookings and enquiries (all since postponed). And picked up the keys to my cute new office that Monday afternoon. But instead of sitting at my new desk planning the shiny new future I’d been dreaming about, I was working out the best way to shut down and keep my clients safe. Like hundreds of thousands of small businesses across the country.

Supporting you from a distance

But I am one of the lucky ones… I already have a couple of long-term, online clients who I work for remotely. Using that experience I am happy to say that I am still open for advice, coaching and “virtual organising” to help keep you more organised during COVID-19. If that’s what you want to do during this strange old time, get in touch and together we’ll work out the best way to support you. I’m also here for any local clients and followers that need a bit of help at the moment – whether it’s shopping, picking up prescriptions or even friendly chat on the phone. COVID-19 is making things difficult for everyone, so don’t be lonely and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

I already miss the excitement of each new enquiry and booking as they ping into my inbox. I miss meeting new clients, visioning their objectives for their homes, getting down to work and making a difference. I miss the satisfaction of each completed project. I miss the conversations, confidences and challenges along the way. And the friendships I’ve made through doing this for a job. It’s an absolute privilege to be trusted by families to help them make the most of their homes, and to work alongside other entrepreneurs as they build and organise their businesses.

But you know what? I’m still here for you if you need me. And I’m going to come back after COVID-19 over, like I did after my own health issues in the summer of 2018, and the broken arm of January 2020. I’ve put this business on hold before and come back stronger, thanks to my wonderful clients and followers. And I’m going to do it again, just you wait and see!

Keep on following!

Meanwhile, I would be hugely grateful if you could please keep following More Organised on FacebookInstagram and the blog. Every like, comment and share means a lot to small businesses like mine, and now more than ever.

One small step

I know that getting organised may be the last thing on your mind at the moment. But I know that there are many of us who take comfort in a bit of decluttering and organising. Looking positively at a horrendous situation, now is a perfect time to get our homes and businesses in order. So I will be taking at least one small step everyday to make a positive difference to my home or business. I’ll share them on social media in the hope that it will inspire you. And keep me going too!

One of my first one small steps was to (finally!) get the More Organised newsletter sign-up sorted out on the website! I’m pleased to be able to invite you to sign up, and I’ll be sharing tips, projects, special offers etc. through the regular newsletter, straight to your inbox. You can sign up here via Mailchimp.

Thank you

Finally, thank you for your ongoing support. Now more than ever it’s our communities and relationships that are going to keep us going. So I hope that this little More Organised community will be of some help to you at this time. Just tell me what you need and what I can do.

Stay safe, stay at home, stay well.

Much love
Mel x
