We all know that we should be eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables per day, but it can be hard to do. It can be difficult to buy enough variety to keep everyone interested, or to be bothered to wash and cut up fruit into portions to take out and about. It’s no secret that I have been feeling a bit under the weather recently and in need of extra vitamins myself – so I was delighted when Fruitful Day crossed my path!
Fruitful Day is a delivery service in Dubai, bringing seasonally-available yummy fresh fruit straight to your door. Whether you need a healthy afternoon pick-me-up for the 4pm slump at your desk, or an easy-to-grab snack for the littles’ lunchbox, Fruitful Day can help. Their team will bring your fruit box to your office or home at a pre-arranged date and time. I received my box at the office, perfectly on time and much to the envy of my co-workers. I shared the mango, apples and melon with my colleagues before taking the rest of it home to my excited family.
Straight to your door
The fruit arrives in a sturdy, recyclable cardboard box (I loved the decoration of Fruitful Day’s signature fruit doodles). The fruit itself is wrapped individually in waxed paper or served ready-cut in bio-degradable plastic boxes. Perfect for lunchboxes or juicing. We had great fun exploring the different fruits. Mr 5 was fascinated by the prickly lychees which Mr More Organised declared were his favourite fruit. Which worried me, as after 20 years together this was news to me!) Moving on quickly, the variety was a real surprise. I had expected to find the usual apples, bananas, pears and oranges, of course. But as well as these, we also received grapefruit, pomelo, blueberries, mandarins, seedless black and white grapes, papaya and watermelon. Oh, and pineapple, but I’m afraid I ate itbefore the guys saw it, so let’s keep that between ourselves.
Since receiving the fruit box on Sunday, we have already eaten much more fruit this week. We are enjoying the variety, quality and the sheer ease of having washed and prepared portions of fruit ready to eat. All we have to do is tuck in! The convenience of a regular delivery is also a bonus. It’s a real time saver that is helping me to be more organised about nourishing my little family. Thank you Fruitful Day! (Can we have a little more pineapple and lychees next time though please?!)

While I received complimentary product to be able to write a post about this service, all opinions, words, love of this brilliant idea, and new found addiction to lychees are totally my own!
