With over 20 years’ experience working in museums, charities and law firms in the UAE and UK, I understand how decluttering your physical space and implementing systems can take away the overwhelm and replace it with the freedom to spend your time on what really makes you happy. I am passionate about sharing my obsession with organising to help families make more space in their lives for what really matters.
About More Organised
I started More Organised to share my love of organising through the magic of social media, which quickly grew into this blog. I am now delighted to be able to offer advice to families, mums, working women… anyone who is fed up of the clutter and wants to find a more organised way of life. Sometimes you just need a little bit of help, and that’s where I come in.
More Organised is my second baby (my first is now a cheeky five-year-old little boy who wants to be an astronaut when he grows up). I know what it’s like to juggle raising a family, work full-time, make sure everyone is fed and happy, all whilst trying to develop a career, pursue outside interests and maintain a social life. Through my own experience, organisational skills and precise attention to detail, I can help you find the space and time that you are looking for.
I moved to Dubai from Scotland 12 years ago with my husband. We live opposite one of Dubai’s biggest shopping malls with our five-year-old son, four cats and an ever expanding family of Lego people. There was a time when living in such close proximity to a mall would have been too tempting for me, but over the years I have learned to focus more on quality not quantity, experiences rather than things. I am a devotee of Marie Kondo (of “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” fame) and read everything about organising that I can get my hands on. Yes – ironically I collect books on organising and hoarding.
When I am not organising or blogging, I enjoy memory-keeping, yoga, trying to encourage my garden to grow or keeping up with my little boy’s social life.
